With all the off season acquisitions I would have to say the Detroit Tigers are the team to beat in the AL in 2008. Boston comes in second in my book. I am interested to see if the Yanks get Santana what type of damage that team can do.

I would have to agree with you on that one. The Tigers definately look like they've done the most to make themselves a force to be reckoned with in the Central and the AL as a whole. I'm excited to see what could be a great race between the Indians and the Tigers next year. I do think the Tigers have to be favorites right now though and The Red Sox should be really good again too.

ALCS will be between the Tigers and Bo Sox no doubt, but I still have to say Boston is the favorite. If they get Santana they will be just plain scary

Oh yea, I agree with you there.
If the Sox landed Santana somehow they would be well ahead of everybody else.
Imagine a rotation of Beckett, Santana, Dice K, Schilling, Buccholtz/Lester
It's just plain scary.

That would be scary, but I think the Yankees have the upper hand. Minnesota is smart by making sure they get absolutely everything they can to get that guy.

as they should! Man was i disappointed in how they handled the Hunter situation. He got away from them with nothing in return and they should not let that happen again.
